Summer Trends for Lips

width= Orange Lips are deff in season this summer! It brings out the tan in your face, while giving a fun glow to pull together your look. The whole trend this summer is a very neutral eye, and a bright lip. You can either do orange, a fuchsia pink, or a nude. I will put some colors that will look good down below.

1. When you were a child, did you use your mother’s lipsticks?
Nope! My mom was never into makeup when I was younger. I find myself putting more makeup on her than she has ever had in her life! Lol!

2. How old were you when you bought your first lipstick?
I was 17. It really didn’t take me me long after I came out of the closet.

3. Pink or red lipstick?
PINKKKK!!!! exp. Snob by MAC. Ugh lovess ittt!!!

4. The most expensive lipstick you have ever bought?
$36 dollar Givency Lipstick in Fantasy Pink. It is BEAUTIFUL & lasts so long.

5. And the cheapest?
I just bought a NYX lipstick yesterday for $2 dollars at Ulta, excited to try it.

6. What’s the most bizarre thing you have ever done with a lipstick?
Put lipstick on a CD and used it as blush! It’s such a cool way to get a nice finish. It’s almost like using a cream blush.

7. If you had to recommend a lipstick, which brand would you recommend and why?
I most definitely would suggest MAC lipstick. They are so inexpensive compared to any other high end brands. They are great quality, you get great choices. I have SO many. I loves them.

Fall Trends for Lips

Fall has to be my favorite season, not only for my birthday which is the DAY that fall starts on, but for the fashion. Fall fashion is AMAZING, also all the trends cosmetic wise. I’m starting to post fall trends every week. This week is all about lips. I went to a Cosmetic Trend Show saturday at my Nordstrom where they unleashed the latest trends, and new holiday collections from MAC, Smashbox, Chanel, and more. It was great meeting new people and meeting with famous makeup artists.

The first trend I have for lips, is the famous RED LIP! Red Lips are a most for fall. Any kind of shade of red will work. Either a Raspberry shade, a true ruby red, or maybe a coral. Here are a couple nice swatches of lips you could pull off in the fall.

The following lipsticks are by MAC. I think my favorite lipstick in a red shade has to be russian red. It is just a true matte red which is gorgeous. Next is Red to Shop which you don’t even need a gloss with this lipstick because its a satin. It is part of the darker reds, which would look amazing on a darker complexion. Next is Ruby Woo which is a coral red color, which is SO cute. It is a very popular MAC lipstick which I think everyone needs in their collection.

My favorite lip product for Fall isn’t even a MAC product though, SHOCKER! It’s actually a NARS product. NARS is famous for the quality of their products. The pigment in their products, and long lasting makeup. NARS released a new lip glosses in their Larger Than Life collection. It is a fantastic new line. I have the Place Vendôme lip gloss which is a bright raspberry color (2nd one in from the picture above). Raspberry lips are IN this fall. This lip gloss I can honest rant and rave about all day and all night. I was never a fan of NARS lip glosses because they always tasted bad, but these new lip glosses actually have a nice taste to them. Plus the beautiful raspberry color which would look great with just about anything.

 

And FINALLY,  The next lip product, you guys will be like WHAT? really? Yes VIOLET lips! They are in this fall. I bought a lipstick by MAC called “Violetta” which is shown in the picture above. I have pulled off this color lipstick so many times its not even funny. It looks great with a neutral eye and winged out liner. I wear it with everything, it may be a night lip for some people but I’m crazy so I’ll wear it day to day lol! This lipstick also goes well with the dazzleglass in Funtabulous, which is a sparkly lip gloss with pink and purple glitter. It all just pulls together amazingly. Violetta is my favorite MAC lipstick by far. Props to MAC for creating this lipstick. Loves it!

Beauty Tip of the Day!

Hey Guys! I haven’t blogged recently, so sorry about that! I’ve kept myself busy over the last month. With my car, (which by the way has almost 1,000 miles on it) i’ve been everywhere!

Anyway, to the actual beauty tip. White eyeliner on the bottom lid. When you apply a white eyeliner or a nude eyeliner or lip pencil, whichever you like you will get the more ‘awake’ look. Your eyes won’t look so small and closed and you will not look tired. It also makes your eyes seem bigger than they actually are. It is really good on people who have slanted eyes or a smaller shaped eye. I love to do this with a neutral look because it all ties together well. Another tip is to apply your black eyeliner only to the middle of the bottom waterline. It will make it so you still have eye definition, but its not so racoonish. I got my first car!

I finally got my first car! Man it has been a long time car shopping, checking out the right cars. Yesterday, I went to check out cars with my Dad, but somehow we ended up at Rich Morton. He is a great family friend who worked with my grandfather in the car business. He made sure I got a great loan, A great interest rate, and of course a great car. I am very happy they did all they could to help me out. I’m sure my grandfather is shining from heaven saying thanks! I got a 2011 Mazda 2, brand new. I love it. The picture above, the one to the right is the true color of the car. Its as turquoise color, which is beautiful in my opinion. Mazda makes great cars. I deff have to thank my parents a ton, i love them very much! ♥ I get so inspired to work harder on my websites, and try to get another job. This feels like another chapter in my life. I’m finally 18, I have a car, I have a great family who supports me. Sadly, some people chose to be left in the previous chapter, its all good though. The good is YET to come. I am loving life. Sometimes you have to be strong for yourself. You have to know that you’re a good person and a good friend. What’s meant to be will end up good and what’s not-won’t. Love is worth fighting for but sometimes you can’t be the only one fighting. At times, people need to fight for you. If they don’t, you just have to move on and realize what you gave them was more than they were willing to give you. Hopefully, people realize great things when they come around and don’t lose something real. Always fight, until you can’t anymore, and then be fought for.



If I were to win the lottery.

If I were to win the 500 million dollar lottery, I would only have 375 million after taxes. I would give some to my family, friends & charities. This is how I would divide it up.

  • Mom – 25,000,000
  • Dad – 25,000,000
  • Megan – 15,000,000
  • Michael – 15,000,000
  • Kimberly – 15,000,000
  • Aunt Tina – 12,000,000
  • Uncle Robby – 2,000,000
  • Nanny – 14,000,000
  • Omi – 5,000,000
  • Melissa – 5,000,000
  • Gay & Lesbian Leadership Institute – 2,000,000

  Which all equals out to 135 million dollars being distributed out, to my friends, family & charity. That leaves me with 240,000,000 dollars to myself. Which seems like a great amount to live off. I was thinking about this tonight when I was talking to Melissa. I asked her how much she would give me she won the lottery, and she asked the same. I would give her 5 million, it seems like a good amount. I chose 25 million for my parents because they could live very comfortably off that money. I chose 15 million for my siblings because than they wouldn’t have to work a day in their lives and they don’t have to depend on anybody. My Aunt 12 million because she has gone through some tough things in her life. I want her to be happy with 12 million. My uncle 2 million because he already has a nice job and doesn’t really need the money. My Nanny (Grandma) 14,000,000 because she deserves it very much. My Omi (Grandma) 5 million because she could live off that for the rest of her life. Melissa 5 million for dealing with my ass for all of our friendship. LOL. I would donate to the Gay & Lesbian Leadership Institute for obvious personal reasons.

  With the money I would get, I would buy a condo in Ocean City, Maryland (400,000$). Live comfortably, get a regular Ford Escape (20,000$). I wouldn’t let the money get to my head. I wouldn’t have a worry in the world. I would most likely open up my own restaurant or clothing line. I wish this would actually happen, but than again you guys wouldn’t know about it because I wouldn’t tell anyone BUT my family. Lol! Wow, what a week! I can not believe that Jordan got evicted. Although, I believe Rachel deserves to be here more than Jordan. It would have been a smart game move for Porsche to evict Rachel, because Rachel is a better competitor than Jordan. I am not a Rachel fan by no means, but she HAS worked hard to come to the end. I think Adam really needs to go. He does not deserve 500,000 dollars. He is the ultimate floater. Okay so, This next week America finds out the winner of the first part of the HOH competition, which is Rachel. Adam was the first one down (shocker) and Porsche was second. So Rachel is now guaranteed to the final 2! The 2nd part of the HOH competition will be against Porsche and Adam. Let’s just hope that Adam loses. If Porsche wins, she will be next to Rachel in the final 2, they will battle it out in the 3rd part of the HOH competition. I am excited to see who wins the 2nd part of the competition, I have a feeling Adam will though. This next competition will not endurance, which is Adam’s weakest kind of competition. Adam doesn’t even deserve 50,000 dollars. Ugh! Please let Porsche win this part of the competition.

My life recently has been boring. Everyone is back in school, and I am just sitting at home working on my sites. I can’t wait to turn 18 to fill out applications for jobs. I don’t need a job, but I am tired of sitting at home. I need to do something productive in my life, or I will go crazy in the next month. Lol! I finally changed the theme on here, It’s different I like it. I am so excited for my birthday party in a couple weeks. We went over the Dillard’s on Sunday and we kind of planned it through. I don’t think they wanted me around, because they didn’t want me to know about it. So I hung out with Jessica, Andrew & James who are a good time! Lol! We are having the party at their house. They have a nice pavilion so there is plenty of room. It is a party for Me, Jamie, James (Big James) and my Aunt Tina. I got a really cute dress for the party, its black but has some design on it. I have the perfect heels to match with the dress. Hopefully I can get my car around the time the party is, there would be nothing better than rolling up in my new car lol. Who knows, we’ll see what happens. I got my nails done the other day, french gel tips. They hurt like a bitch the first day, but they are better now. They are cute, I never had tips. I only had a manicure because my nails are usually long. I like the tips kind of more though. So yeah, thats all that’s been up recently. I will blog again soon. ♥



All Good Things, Come to an End.

All good things come to an end, but when do they come to an end? My website Quotekiss has me worried. Everyone is back to school around this time, and my website traffic has decreased. I am so nervous my website is dying off. It went from 20,000 unique visitors plus a day, to yesterday it being only 11,000. It makes me so sad. I am trying to stay positive about it, maybe it will go back up after kids are all settled in school. I don’t know. I was going to finance a car, but I am worried about the money situation, because I went from making xxx.xx a day to now only xx.xx a day. I hope it goes back up, I am crossing my fingers. I won’t give up on my website, I just wish I knew what to do to get my traffic back up. I am deff going to work harder on it, change some stuff. Who knows. When I saw my traffic from yesterday, my heart literally dropped. I am so sad right now, I just feel like crying because i feel helpless. I need a plan, and im going to start of a plan to get my traffic back up. There are plenty of reasons why my traffic decreased, so I’m just wishing it is back to school & people will come back and visit when they are all settled in. I guess time will tell.
